President’s Letter
Dear Hilltop Resident,
During this time of economic unrest and change it’s important to take a moment to appreciate what we have, and we can honestly say that we live in an exceptional neighborhood. In order to protect our investment and life style it is also important to support the activities and efforts provided by the Cranmer Park/Hilltop Civic Association. You can do so by becoming a dues paying member of our non-profit neighborhood association.
The mission of the Association is to preserve, protect, and enhance the quality of life and existing character of the Cranmer Park/Hilltop neighborhood. This is not a small task. Volunteers throughout our neighborhood share their talents by addressing issues that arise in and around our neighborhood such as those related to zoning, traffic, redevelopment, schools and parks.
In addition to the numerous hours generously given by our volunteers, there are direct costs that the Association is responsible for paying. These include insurance, membership fees, printing and mailing, meetings and limited social events, such as the annual Hilltop Halloween Parade. With the current dues collected, we are able to cover these costs, but little else. With a higher membership and dues base, we could once again expand our outreach in areas such as grants for parks and school capital improvements.
We do not hold costly fundraisers to solicit money for the Association. We only ask that each household becomes a dues paying member for $25 per year. Please consider mailing the enclosed membership form today. We would also like to thank those of you who have actively supported the Association over the years; your generosity is much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Tracy Willis
2009 Cranmer Park/Hilltop Neighborhood Association President
