Thank you neighbors for attending the 4th Annual Community Picnic & Concert at Cranmer Park and making it such a fun evening. We had an estimated crowd of about 1500 attendees! The Denver Municipal Band gave a wonderful performance including a stirring recognition of our service men and women. The food trucks were delicious and worked hard to keep up with the demand (one canceled at the last minute due to a mechanical failure and we appreciated everyone’s patience!) Thanks to our DPD Community Resource Officers, Kate Young and Antonio Pacheco, for keeping things safe for us throughout the evening. Big thanks as well to the Denver Fire Department for bring the fire crew and big truck to give the kiddos tours and then leaving with the lights and sirens going! Adults enjoyed this show as much as the kids. Thanks to our friends and neighbors at Graland for helping us with the clean up for our event – each year we have had the Community Picnic, Graland has allowed us to use their dumpsters for both recycled and trash disposal. We also want to thank all of our volunteers – neighbors who pitched in to help set up and then take down tents and clean up the park, members of the Planning Committee, and our friends from The Park People who helped raised the funds to renovate Cranmer Park. If you lost an item at the event, check out our Lost & Found page here.
Our annual neighborhood event is now in it’s 4th year! Co-hosted by your Cranmer Park/Hilltop Civic Association and our District 5 City Councilwoman Amanda Sawyer’s office. From helping us with the big things like permits, funding and outreach to other neighborhoods to the small things like loaning us the litter grabbers they use for their park clean-up events, Councilwoman Sawyer and her staff were all in and we are grateful.
Big thanks to our sponsors for this year – please visit their websites and also thank them for making this neighborhood event possible: Overture @ 9+CO, The Rotary at Hilltop, mile hi modern.
