General News

The Quebec Street Multimodal Improvement Project intends to improve mobility along Quebec Street from East 13th Avenue to East 26th Avenue, building upon previous community planning efforts identifying needs for sidewalk, drainage, transit stop, and transportation system improvements. The project coordinators are asking for feedback on the refined options for the Project.

For anyone that had trouble filling out the form online, please visit www.DenverGov.org/QuebecCorridor and download the “What’s Important to You?” pdf to complete and then submit your selected priorities via email to the project team at [email protected].

Feedback will be collected through Friday, March 29, 2019.

The following email was sent to neighbors and RNOs who have expressed interest in this project:

You are receiving this email because you previously expressed an interest in the City and County of Denver’s Quebec Street Multimodal Improvement Project focused on mobility and safety improvements along Quebec Street from East 13th Avenue to East 26th Avenue.

When we last corresponded via email toward the end of last summer we shared that, due to a construction funding shortfall, the Environmental Assessment for the Quebec Street East 13th to East 26th Multimodal Improvement Projectwould temporarily be put on hold. At that time we encouraged community members to remain involved by participating in the city’s concurrent East Area Plan process.

Cross-pollination with adjacent planning efforts such as this helps ensure that the outcome satisfies a comprehensive vision for the neighborhoods along and near the Quebec corridor – East Colfax, Montclair, South Park Hill and Hale.

As the project team evaluated the proposed action that resulted from the 2015 Quebec Alternatives Analysis, and incorporated feedback from the community, we began to recognize the opportunity to review additional options that meet the project’s Purpose and Need. Resulting in the city’s recent participation in a series of East Area Plan and neighborhood-specific community workshops to collect feedback on three refined options:

There is still an opportunity for you to provide feedback on these concepts and share your top priorities for improving this section of Quebec Street, as well as select elements of the designs that are most preferable. Additional input on the design concepts will be collected online through March 29, 2019.

Thank you in advance for taking time to provide feedback.

Sincerely,
The Quebec Street Multimodal Improvement Project Team
