In 2019, the Denver Short-Term Rental Advisory Committee (STRAC) discussed and offered several legislative recommendations to enhance the city’s short-term rental ordinance and keep pace with the evolution and growth of the industry, both in Denver and across the globe. One of these recommendations included modifications to the language in the Primary Residence Requirement, a central feature of the Denver short-term rental ordinance.
The Department of Excise and Licenses is currently accepting feedback on the first draft of the proposed updates to the short-term rental ordinance. To learn more about the proposed changes, read the draft ordinance language, and submit feedback, please visit our website. The Department will be accepting feedback through Friday, January 31, 2020. All feedback will be considered by the Department prior to the introduction of any legislation.
