Dear neighbors,

You have likely heard of the mental health crisis that is hitting our children and teens especially hard in the wake of the pandemic and other traumatic world events. Unfortunately, students at Hill Middle School are not immune from this troubling situation. In fact, over 50% of our student population has accessed mental health support at Hill this year; many of these students reported thoughts of self-harm as well as feelings of anxiety and social and academic stress.

Sadly, because of budget constraints, Hill will lose one of its essential social worker positions next year without help from our community. This is where you can make a difference.

The Hill PTSA has launched a campaign to support our Mental Health department for the 2022-2023 school year. We are calling this fundraising drive Hill Health: Strong Minds, Strong Kids to emphasize the importance of mental health services for our students as a key part of their academic success.

Please consider supporting the mental health of Hill students by donating at hill.bebids.me after May 5th. Make sure to choose the Hill Health: Strong Minds, Strong Kids campaign. If your business would like to sponsor, please email Jennifer I at [email protected] for details on our sponsorship opportunities.
