Calling all hungry ghosts, goblins, dinosaurs and unicorns!

The Halloween Parade Committee, including Lisa Glauser, Sheila Pitto, Anjali Nanda, Kelly Armento and Cristina Schmidt, is working hard to bring us another great event for the whole family on Sunday, October 31st!

We meet at the Sundial Plaza at 11 AM and then parade down 2nd Avenue to Robinson Park.  At the Park, we’ll have games for the costumed kiddos and treats for parents/family who have joined them, including pizza from our neighborhood Anthony’s Pizza. Every year we collect and deliver canned goods for donation to an organization addressing food scarcity in our community.  Please bring a can or two to share with those less fortunate. We are so GRATEFUL to have such GREAT NEIGHBORS!  If you would like to help on the day of the event – handing out pizza slices, supervising the games and helping to make everyone welcome – contact our co-organizer Lisa Glauser

Construction of the Robinson Park playground project will be completed prior to Oct 31 – Yay!  The City plans to have a big ribbon cutting ceremony at the park around 12:00pm to celebrate the new playground/park improvements and to thank everyone involved in making it possible.  It has been a long journey from the initial request from families in the neighborhood to community input meetings and final designs and fundraising to fill in the budget gap so we could get the project we wanted. The playground and basketball court were replaced, landscaping and picnic facilities were improved, and overall accessibility was upgraded.  Thanks everyone for your input and hard work with special thanks to the Elevate Denver Bond, DPR Legacy Funds, individual donors from the neighborhood and the Cranmer Park/Hilltop Civic Association, The Park People, Telluride Stone, and LuBird’s Light.

This annual family event is sponsored by your Cranmer Park/Hilltop Civic Association and District 5 Denver City Council Member Amanda Sawyer, with these generous neighborhood sponsors:
