Crime & Safety General

Solar United Neighbors is a vendor-neutral nonprofit organization helping people go solar together, streamlining the process and saving consumers money. Home and commercial property owners are welcome to join the Denver Solar Co-op for free to find out what going solar means for them with no obligation to install. This program is in partnership with the City and County of Denver’s Department of Public Health and Environment.

Solar United Neighbors has set the following dates for 4 information sessions across Denver (looks like the October 23 session may be the nearest/most convenient location for our neighborhood). Denver Oct Events Flyer

Solar United Neighbors and the City and County of Denver have partnered to support the Denver Solar Co-op, a vendor-neutral solar bulk-purchasing program to support a streamlined process for home and business owners to go solar. (Denver Post article, CBS4 segment)

Solar United Neighbor’s Colorado program was started with solar co-ops in Fort
Collins and the Yampa Valley earlier this year, so far securing a combined $1.2 million+ of investment and half a megawatt of solar capacity in those communities. They now bring this opportunity to Denver to create jobs, keep energy dollars local, and support the Denver community’s commitment to a sustainable and renewable energy future by making solar more accessible to all.
