Town Halls on Denver Plan for Federal Funds June 7 and 9

Denver is hosting two town halls to get your feedback

From At-Large City Councilmember Robin Kniech’s Office:

Our city received $154 million of federal funding through the American Rescue Plan to support recovery in 2021, and we’ll receive another $154 million in the coming weeks. This is a once-in-generation opportunity, and we’re investing in what matters most to residents like affordable housing and safe neighborhoods, mental and public health, small businesses and workers, and support for people experiencing homelessness.

Federal funding is a critical part of our strategy to build back Denver’s economy in a way that is equitable, sustainable, and supports the communities most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic – especially communities of color and our most vulnerable residents.

The city is hosting two telephone town halls, where you can share your feedback on this final round of federal funding. Head to RiseTogetherDenver.org today to register for a town hall and to participate in online surveys to help inform the city’s economic recovery strategy.

Telephone Town Hall Dates:

Tuesday, June 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, June 9 at 9:30 a.m.

Residents can dial in to a meeting as well:

To join the telephone town hall in English, call 1-888-400-1932

To join the telephone town hall in Spanish, call 1-888-400-9342

Translation and interpretation for the town halls will be available in Vietnamese and Amharic as well.
