Survey & Public Meeting on HAF – Homeownership Assistance Fund

You are invited to participate in a meeting to help prioritize new homeownership funding to assist households who faced housing challenges because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This meeting is targeted to homeowner households and organizations working in housing, lending, and real estate.

The Colorado Department of Local Affairs, Division of Housing (DOH) anticipates receiving $175 million from the U.S. Treasury to assist eligible homeowners who have faced challenges maintaining their mortgage payments and other costs of housing as a result of the pandemic. This program is called the Homeownership Assistance Fund, or HAF. More information on the program can be found here.

Root Policy Research will host the meeting from 5-6p.m. on Thursday, July 8. In addition to hearing your thoughts and ideas on how the HAF funds should be prioritized, Root will provide an overview of preliminary results from the HAF survey and feedback provided from two previous community meetings. This upcoming conversation will help us gather a variety of feedback to further inform plan development.

Additionally, you can still take the survey here in English and here in Spanish.  It will close on Wednesday, July 14. Your responses will be strictly confidential and only used for the purpose of prioritizing funding.
