Homelessness and Housing Affordability in Denver – Lowry Mtg

Lowry United Neighborhoods (LUN), has extended an invitation to nearby neighborhoods to attend their Quarterly meeting for a keynote presentation by At-Large Council Member Robin Kniech on the topic of homelessness.  After the defeat of Initiative 300 by Denver voters, LUN planned this opportunity for Lowry and east Denver residents to examine how “we can do better”  in forging solutions for homelessness & housing affordability. Please mark your calendars and pass this on to neighbors, post it in your buildings, and help get the word out.

Sept 10th from 6:30pm to 8pm in the Eisenhower Chapel, 293 Roslyn Street

Here is the Agenda:

SPEAKERS:
Denver Police Dist.3 Community Resource Officer will provide brief update on recent crime rates in east Denver & steps residents can take to protect against crime.

Denver District 5 Councilwoman Amanda Sawyer will provide an update on her first two months representing District 5 on Denver City Council.

Councilwoman-at-large Robin Kniech will provide the keynote presentation — and take questions — on what Denver is already doing and what is in the works to maximize people’s access to shelter and housing and supportive services.
