Bundled Zoning Code Text Amendments
Tina Axelrad (Zoning Administrator) and Abe Barge (Principal City Planner) will present the latest proposed bundle of 160 changes to the Denver Zoning Code. All changes are clarifications, minor tweaks, and do not constitute major policy changes. Public comments are due 3/22 so don’t miss this briefing! Should be posted mid-week so keep checking Denver’s Text Amendment (Code Maintenance) page.
Follow up on Proposed Marijuana ordinance changes
INC’s Feb. 13th Delegate Meeting featured a presentation by Excise & Licenses on proposed changes to marijuana regulation including new licenses. Many questions arose during the meeting and ZAP will collect followup questions and concerns from INC members which may be compiled into a letter to be submitted to Excise & Licenses and City Council prior to the March 2, 2021 Council Committee meeting. Note that the March 2 Committee meeting will have time for public comments. All three proposed ordinances can be found on the city website. If you cannot attend but want to submit additional questions/feedback, send your comments to [email protected].
Brief Update on Affordable Housing
Ean Tafoya, INC’s representative on the Affordable Housing Zoning Incentive committee, will update us on Denver’s work to encourage construction of affordable and mixed-income housing, particularly in transit-rich areas.
