The City and County of Denver is currently in the design phase of creating a safer and quicker High Line Canal Trail connection at Mississippi Avenue and Parker Road by building an underpass. Talk with the experts to learn more!

ABOUT THE PROJECT: This project will provide a continuous multi-use trail bypassing the busy intersection of Mississippi Avenue and Parker Road by building an underpass. The new underpass will eliminate Parker Road as a barrier, significantly improving the safety and experience of the High Line Canal Trail for pedestrians and cyclists.

Trail users currently experience long delays of up to 120 seconds at the Mississippi Avenue and Parker Road intersection. The new underpass will also create a faster connection while enhancing traffic operations.  A final design is expected to be completed in summer 2019. Construction is expected to begin late fall 2019.
