Field Survey Volunteer Training – Historic Denver

Discover Denver is a citywide building survey focused on identifying the buildings that help tell Denver’s story. Some of the city’s buildings are well-known and associated with famous individuals or events, but most have stories still waiting to be discovered.
Interested in becoming a Discover Denver field survey volunteer?  All field survey volunteers must attend one training session before they are scheduled to help out with Discover Denver’s field survey.  Attendees will learn about Denver’s architectural styles and the terminology used to describe the city’s buildings.  Contact Beth Glandon at 303-534-5288 x3 or at [email protected] for more information and to reserve a spot!  Find out other ways to get involved.
A partnership between Historic Denver, Inc. and the City and County of Denver, Discover Denver is working to identify buildings that are historically, architecturally or culturally significant. Volunteers play a significant role in Discover Denver, helping to document buildings, research building histories, and collect stories from members of the community. Project findings will be accessible online so that everyone can learn about Denver’s past—building by building.
