The JCC Mizel Arts and Culture Center’s 13th Annual Neustadt JAAMM Festival (Jewish Arts, Authors, Movies and Music) continues in 2021 with some of the most exciting events of the Festival!  

Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. MST – Canadian sketch comedy duo Yid Life Crisis will host a live show called “Virtually Jewish” Sit back, relax, and escape the news for a couple of hours (don’t worry, it will be there when you get back) to watch two friends pay homage to the yiddishkayt in their upbringing and the Jewish comedic lens on life with which they were raised.

Thursday, January 21, 2021, 12:00 pm MST– London-based author Ariana Neumann who wrote a second generation holocaust memoire titled, “When Time Stopped: A Memoir of My Father’s War and What Remains”
 
Thursday, March 18, 2021, 7:00 pm MST – Author of ‘The Third Daughter’ Talia Carner about the sex trafficking of young Jewish women from Russia to South America in the 19th century
 
Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. MST – African American Jewish food historian and James Beard award-winning author Michael Twitty will host an interactive lecture in advance of Passover about the shared narratives of diaspora and exodus between the African American and Jewish communities
April 7, 2021 at 7 p.m. MST – Israeli chef, cookbook author, and restaurateur of NYC’s Balaboosta and NYC/Washington D.C.’s Taim, Chef Einat Admony will be joining the community virtually for a cook-along, where viewers will prepare a springtime three-course meal with her.
 
Sunday, April 18, 2021, 7:00 pm MST – Author Sue Eisenfeld with memoir/travelogue “Wandering Dixie: Dispatches from the Lost Jewish South”
