Denver Parks and Recreation is holding a Sundial Renovation kick-off event at Cranmer Park to inform members of the community about the fundraising efforts and plans to rebuild Sundial Plaza.

Last year, Denver Parks and Recreation launched an innovative public-private partnership with concerned citizens, community leaders, and neighborhood residents to restore and revitalize Sundial Plaza. The restoration project will encompass the reconstruction of the terrazzo panorama, repairing the sundial, and rebuilding the plaza, including its foundation. Renovation of this important site is necessary to restore the architectural significance and aesthetic beauty of the plaza and the park.  Costs for this project are estimated to be $1.3 million, with more than $400,000 committed already by DPR and the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs.
