Latest News: Workshop postponed to 11/23
With another snow storm in the forecast, the East Area Plan workshop originally scheduled for Tuesday, October 29, has been postponed to Saturday, November 23.
The decision was reached in consultation with campus staff at Johnson & Wales University, who alerted us of the possibility of the campus closing early due to the weather. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope the new weekend date works for residents. For those who cannot make it, there will be additional input opportunities.
Take a survey online
During the survey, you can read and give feedback on updated recommendations for the East Area Plan. The survey will be available October 29.
Or, join us in person for our next community workshop
The next opportunity to share your thoughts on the future of the neighborhoods in the East Area is coming Saturday, November 23. (This event was rescheduled from Tuesday, October 29, due to inclement weather.)
Attendees will have the chance to weigh in on new alternatives for building heights and housing options, and on updates to draft plan recommendations that cover the local economy and housing, mobility, land use urban and design, and quality of life. The updates will reflect input city planners received throughout the summer on the first draft of the plan recommendations, released in May.
