Shared Streets create a safe place – on streets normally dominated by autos – for people to walk, bike, roll and play. Over the past two years, Denver has been experimenting with this idea. Based on the success of this experience, Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) has decide to create a formal Shared Streets Program. Denver Botanic Gardens Fall Plant & Bulb Sale Sept 30 – Oct 1 Plan your spring garden now! Takes place at the York Street location. Admission is free to the plant sale and the Gardens, however capacity is limited and members and non-members must reserve a ticket online for a specific date and time to visit.
Denver Botanic Gardens Pumpkin Festival Oct 7 – 9 Celebrate fall with family and friends at Chatfield Farms. Ticket price includes access to the pumpkin patch, Corn Maze, live music and children’s activities.
Free Birding Walks with the High Line Canal Conservancy Saturday, Oct 8 This day is a Big Day in the birding community: October Big Day. Find out what’s so special about this day and enjoy a walk with expert birders from Denver Audubon and The Urban Bird. You’ll need to register and choose a walk location from four options.
