Local Government:
Expanded Waste Services – The City and County of Denver is exploring an expansion to residential waste services that would provide weekly recycling and composting for all customers.

6th Ave Traffic Study Updates – Check out Councilwoman Sawyer’s latest District 5 news regarding the 6th Ave. Traffic Study. Be sure to complete the survey by April 1st!

Affordable Housing – Denver Community Planning and Development and the Department of Housing Stability have released an updated draft of a policy proposal to create more affordable homes for people in Denver. The city invites public comment on the draft proposal through March 14.

Redistricting Update – As you may have heard Council district boundaries are being redrawn following the 2020 U.S. Census. A public hearing will be held at the March 29th City Council meeting where council members will vote on a final map. The new map incorporating changed district boundaries will be in effect for the 2023 municipal election.

Parks and Recreation:
Irish Denver Walking Tour – History Colorado presents an Irish Walking Tour on March 17 from 11am-12pm with Professor James Walsh, who will cover the story of Denver’s early Irish community and shed new light on conflicts and stories of survival that defined Denver’s working class for generations.

Civic Association:
Board Meeting – All Hilltop residents are welcome to join in on the next Cranmer Park/Hilltop Civic Association Board of Directions meeting March 8th at Graland in the 2nd floor conference room.
