June 2020 Neighborhood News & Events

Bannock Street in front of the City and County Bldg.  This will be the city’s largest street mural.

Dear Neighbors:

We continue to anticipate having our next quarterly meeting on July 21, 2020.  We are discussing whether such a meeting will take place in person or over Zoom.  We will update the community accordingly when a decision has been made.

It is with sadness and resignation that we must inform you that we have decided to cancel all Cranmer Park/Hilltop Civic Association events this summer.  These events include the Independence Holiday Community Picnic in Cranmer Park and three Hilltop Summer Movie Nights in Robinson Park.

We did not take this decision lightly.  We believe the decision is consistent with public health pronouncements of both the City of Denver and the State of Colorado.  We personally considered the health and safety of our community throughout the decision-making process.  And, given everything we know and discussed, our association came to the unfortunate aforementioned conclusion.

We look forward to bringing back these popular, community-building events in 2021.  We wish everyone a safe and healthy summer.

Sincerely,
Jeff Cuneo
President, Cranmer Park/Hilltop Civic Association
