February Neighborhood News & Events

Local Government:
New Landlord/Tenant Laws – In May 2021, the Denver City Council passed an ordinance requiring a Residential Rental Property license for any person to offer, provide, or operate a residential rental property in the City and County of Denver. A major part of the law went into effect on Jan. 1, 2022 and more will become effective Jan. 1, 2023.

911 Alert System News – The City & County of Denver has released a new 911 alert system to notify residents when there is an emergency. The system will send alerts based on the location information you have provided.

Waste Less Denver – Starting in January, all restaurants and third-party delivery services must only provide single-use condiments and single-use service ware upon request. This new ordinance is intended to reduce the amount of waste generated by single-use items, change customer habits regarding single-use items, and help restaurants reduce unnecessary costs.

Parks and Recreation:
Denver Jewish Film Festival – This annual festival begins February 14th. Get your tickets here.

Civic Association:
Cranmer Park Community Picnic Save the Date – Mark your calendars for Friday, July 1st at the date for our 2022 Cranmer Park Community Picnic, coinciding with the spectacular  Fireworks in Glendale!
