With housing costs going up, more families are spending more of their budgets on where they live or finding themselves priced out of neighborhoods. As part of Denver’s overall strategy to provide more and better housing opportunities for all residents, the Expanding Affordability Project
aims to create new tools and improve existing ones to address residents’ growing housing needs.
The Project will be looking at a citywide zoning incentive, an update to the city’s linkage fee and preparing for potential changes to state law on inclusionary housing. In the coming months they will be doing outreach into the community but there are opportunities now to learn about the Project and comment, attend a Virtual Town Hall on March 25
and sign up to talk with the project team at virtual community Office Hours.
