General News

Many of us, especially in the SW quadrant of the neighborhood, have been enduring a bit of disruption for a good cause – Denver Public Works is installing a new storm water pipe to address persistent, nuisance flooding along Ellsworth Avenue between Colorado Boulevard and Birch Street in the Hilltop neighborhood. The City is installing 15 new inlets and a 24 to 30 inch storm pipe to alleviate localized drainage issues and address additional runoff coming from the Graland Country Day School property. The project will include installation of new curb and gutter, some sidewalk improvements, and new ADA compliant ramps. The work began September 5th and should continue 4 to 5 months.  The good news as of Oct 24 – they have completed the section between Colorado Blvd and Albion St.
