The Association

What We Do as an Association

The Cranmer Park/Hilltop Civic Association is a non-profit, volunteer neighborhood association made up of residents of the area. The mission of the association is to preserve, protect, and enhance the quality of life and existing character of the Cranmer Park/Hilltop neighborhood.

We are not a Home Owners Association (HOA) governed by CC&R’s.  However, we are a Registered Neighborhood Organization (RNO) with the city of Denver.  Click here to review the Association Bylaws and Minutes

The association was originally formed in the 1950’s in response to a B-29 plane crash that occured while the plane was attempting to return to the former Lowry Air Force Base. The site of the accident was near Bayaud & South Dahlia Streets. “The terrified neighbors called an emergency meeting at nearby Graland School, determined to protect the area from further disaster, and the Mountain View Civic Association was formed. This organization was later renamed the Cranmer Park / Hilltop Civic Association.”  Hilltop Heritage, A. Bakemeier

The major areas of activity within the association are: Zoning and Redevelopment, Traffic, Crime & Safety, Schools and Parks and Community Engagement.

Please consider becoming a member of the Cranmer Park/Hilltop Civic Association. With only $25 per year, you can help preserve and enhance our exceptional neighborhood.
